At the Auction

Buyers should arrive at least
a half hour before the auction start time
to register and tour the property!

  • The property will be open for bidders to tour prior to the auction. Our team will arrive approx. 1 hour before the auction time. Upon arrival, you must register to bid.
  • You will be required to show your driver’s license and earnest money (deposit) to the Hockman Auctions representative; however, your deposit will not be collected. Only the successful buyer will tender the required deposit immediately after the auction.
  • Look to see if there are any posted signs, posters, or additional handouts pertaining to the real estate or auction, as there may be updated information.
  • Please do not discuss the real estate with any other bidder(s). Keep all observations, opinions, and even facts to yourself. Hockman Auctions prohibits bidders speaking to one another regarding the real estate, especially to discourage another from bidding for any reason.
  • At the auction start time, the auctioneer will call the bidders together and begin the auction announcements. All announcements made on auction day take precedence over all previously advertised or announced information.
  • When the auctioneer opens the bidding, you may bid by raising your hand, shouting "yes," nodding, etc. The auctioneer or bid assistant will acknowledge your bid.
  • Should an auctioneer or bid assistant misinterpret your bid, report the mistake immediately.
  • You are welcome to ask questions of any member of our auction team at any time.
